As many of you know I love to dance and I am a big fan of Zumba. In fact, I am a certified Zumba Instructor currently teaching twice a week. I have been teaching Zumba for 5 years and I absolutely love it. So last week, I was enjoying palm trees, humid weather, and in the crowd of over 10,000 instructors in Orlando, Florida for Zumba Convention.
I always have the time of my life at Zumba Convention in Orlando, Florida; and not only do I dance for hours but, I learn how to be a better instructor and give my clients the best. In order to give your clients the highest quality you must learn more. It’s more than getting certified you must receive continuing education on your skill so that you can give them an incomparable experience! That’s my mantra anyway!!
Here is my Zumba Convention 2017 Day 1 experience in photos and videos. In this post I am sharing all about the amazing session I attended (Latin Urban and Dancehall Mashup).
Latin Urban is a crossover style that combines Reggaeton and Hip Hop with other genre’s such as Latin Pop, Salsa, and Merengue. Everything about Hip Hop intrigues me, so I gravitate towards these rhythms. I know this is why Latin Urban is always my first session at convention.
Check out this brief video clip of Latin Urban.
Dancehall is an uptempo dance rhythm that originated out of Jamaica, many dance moves seen in Hip Hop are variations of Dancehall dances. For example, Twerking is a variation of the Dancehall dance called “Bubbling”. I know it’s a shocker right! Nothing is new under the sun.
Check out this brief video clip of Dancehall Mashup.
My legs and feet felt like noodles by the end of the day. So the jacuzzi was a must! I rocked my very first two piece this trip and I loved it. This swimwear is from the Swimsuits for All GabiFresh collection that was released earlier this year. I paired it with a kimono from Walmart. Yep, that’s right! Wally World and I was mixing prints like a pro here.
