Oh, yes! It’s a joy to dress up and attend the annual holiday parade with family but you know we can not show up looking crazy. Definitely not! Though we will be masked up and socially distancing we must be sugar sharp.
My baby boy Tylan (who is pictured above with me) was born 5 days after Christmas. As a result of this, we do the absolute most when it comes to the holiday. From decorations (which mine are still not up yet), festivities, and the bomb birthday party afterwards. Being the fashionista mama, I will not be half stepping to any of these events. You will not either that’s why I’m here with this blog post. Keep reading to find out what to wear to the annual holiday parade plus size edition…
The perfect outfit combination for a cold winter evening consist of 3 things. A warm jacket because we all know that Central Alabama temps are dropping more and more every day. As of right now, the temperature outside is 36 degrees. That’s cold for me. Next, skinny jeans because I can’t see myself freezing in slacks or dress pants. Last but certainly not least, comfy shoes because parades are generally an hour or two and the way my feet set up…. um yeah!!
The Lane Bryant at The Shoppes at East Chase invited me over to try on a few of their holiday pieces and I vlogged the whole experience. Everyone was amazing and the experience was one of a kind. Click the video below to see this try on in detail!
What To Wear To The Annual Holiday Parade
This look that I am wearing is from my Holiday In The Dressing Room: Lane Bryant Edition video and I love it. To make sure that I stay warm, I’m wearing the Textured Ponte Longline Jacket. Work or church this jacket is one that is easy to transition and can be flipped a million ways.
Layered under the jacket is the Convertible-Sleeve Chiffon Top. This top is polka dot (one of my favorite prints) and have the versatility to be long-sleeve or mid-sleeve length. It’s perfect button all the way up or with a little neckline showing. I prefer the preppy vibe and buttoned all the way up!
Lane Bryant jeggings are back on the scene and this is what you see me wearing as well. These are the High-Rise Pull-On Jegging – Ripped Dark Wash. If you are like me and have put on a few pounds of quarantine weight these jeans/leggings are perfect for you. No bulky zipper or buttons, they just slide right on. With the perfect amount of distressing, you are guaranteed to stay warm and trendy.
Make no mistake the holidays are not cancelled! So get your mask and energy up! It’s Christmas time!
