When life gives you lemons, make lemonade or something lemon. We are all familiar with this phrase. Contrary to popular opinion, I do not always make lemonade out of my lemons. To be honest with you my thoughts and mind are not always positive, but I’m always seeking new ways to share and keep my mind just as healthy as my body. All the exercise in the world will not help a mind that’s negatively impacted. We’ve got to strive to be healthy wholly.
Life can be overwhelming but we must push to let things go. It’s time to get rid of these negative thoughts and embrace peace again. I celebrated Spring Break and Sweat In Mascara’s birthday in Pensacola/Orange Beach getting some headspace and I was so refreshed that I wanted to share. We can all agree it’s time for us to get our peace again and detox our minds. Let’s count the ways!

Make The Time
Grab a planner and make time for yourself. Exchange the hours on social media or put your children to bed 30 minutes earlier for an activity that keeps your mind at peace. It may be a nap, a walk in nature, time to meditate, or pray. Purposely carve out time just for you and be consistent and responsible with it.
Find Your Tribe
You need to be with people who have your rhythm. Your inner circle must have the same rhythm
Reduce Negativity (Especially On Social Media)
Unfollow, Unsubscribe, Block, and do whatever it takes to give your brain a break. Perhaps, try a media detox. When we spend a lot of time on social media it’s easy to get caught up into what other’s perceive of us and our thoughts become twisted. We want to ensure that we do not lose who we are because of the noise (negativity).
Stop Complaining
Fix it fast. Sometimes complaining is so easy that we do not realize that we are doing it. Complaining murders inner peace. Complaining burns peace to ashes. Everything turns dark and it spreads like an infection. Guard your inner beauty by guarding what comes out of your mouth.
Reduce Distractions
Cut out multi-tasking. Cut out overthinking. I’m the worst at this one. Sometimes I’m overwhelmed by my thoughts before I ever get to the task. Multi-tasking is horrible for productivity. Try closing out multiple tabs on your computer. One tab at a time. Finish before you start something new. I’m talking to myself right here, just preaching to the choir.
How do you get your peace and detox your mind?
