Bringing Balance To Your Closet | Featuring Universal Standard

I’ve been checking out my closet lately, trying to get the nerve to clean it out someday. I noticed I have tons of workout pieces and not enough workwear pieces.

Yes, I’m in love with fitness but I’m a teacher by day. My biggest dream one day is to have a dress code that permits comfy tees, leggings, and sneakers, but it’s not happening anytime soon. So I must bring balance to my closet with comfortable workwear pieces like this Enza Jumpsuit in the color Cinder from Universal Standard.

This jumpsuit adds a new twist to my closet. The luxe satin-back crepe was pretty impressive and it felt incredible on. I paired it with an old vintage trench to prepare for the showers predicted today.

I’m learning how to add more options to my clothing. I’m the one that will buy every color in one top that I love. Transitioning into new things is sometimes a challenge for me. Everything gets better with time. Balancing your closet does not happen overnight. I’m learning new things like for example, it’s not always fitted clothing that slims your body type. This jumpsuit is a loose fit. The loose-fit elongated my body adding height to my 5’5 frame.

Try new things and step out of your comfort zone. It’s ok to add lighter colors and pieces that you may be unfamiliar with. This is what creates a balanced wardrobe. Every piece should have personality and purpose.
