Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, Big Ben, The Tower of London, and the list never ends. London is full of free culture. There’s nothing I have encountered quite like my visit to London this spring. For a second I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, seeing some of the world’s most beautiful sights face to face. It’s one of the only places that you can see perfection for absolutely nothing at all. Not to mention the same month as the royal wedding, I was walking the streets of the UK (insane)!
Some things about London you’d never know until you experience them in person, the architecture, greenery and hustle and bustle of the city is something that caught me completely off guard. It’s peaceful, clean, and beautiful. London has always been ranked high on the health charts and now I know why. Today, I’m sharing 3 healthy habits in London that should be a part of your daily routine so keep reading for the scoop.
1. Tea Is The New Coffee Especially In London
Healthy Habit #1 is Tea. Tea is an occasion and Londoners have tea with everything: scones, crumpets, dainty cakes, and more. Before I went on my trip to London I was a coffee addict. Needless to say, I have been converted and I have not consumed coffee for almost a month now. I can feel it in my body. I feel more alert. I love the effect that tea has on me and absolutely no crash. It relaxes my mind and it rehydrates as well as water does. Recent studies show that drinking three to four cups of tea a day can cut the chances of a heart attack. Starbucks is missing me these days. I have dropped 4 cups of coffee daily for one simple cup of hot tea. You should try it.
2. Regular Exercise Is Key
Healthy Habit #2 is exercise. London has always been ranked the healthiest city in the UK and one of the healthiest cities in the world. That can partly be attributed to the fact that half the brits visit Neuropathy Cure and other such health centres to keep themselves alive and kicking. The UK is the home of big walkers, and I wouldn’t doubt that being that the Heathrow Airport in London is a small city itself. I chalked up almost 20,000 steps touring London for one day.
It’s always great to see people taking care of their health and well being. While walking the streets we were trampled by runners of all different sizes, shapes, and body types! Yaaaaaaasssss, to the body positive fitness Brits! I was loving every minute of it and today I walked 3 miles! I’m getting on my London swag. A walk a day keeps the doctor away.
3. Keep A Royal Mindset
Last but not least, Keep a royal mindset. Mental health is real health. I forget that kings and queens are real and that they still exist. My mantra while in London was “Queening with the Queen”. It’s easy to be inspired knowing that the Queen is the girl boss of England. She runs it! That’s inspiration for all the women out there who feel as if they will never be enough. Women are really incredible creatures. It was later I learned that this country has never suffered a deficit so not only is the Queen of Cambridge looking beautiful and holding the keys to longevity, but she is an effective leader too. Women, we can do anything if we keep out mindsets royal. Royal meaning always thinking regal, magnificent, and first class.
I know you are wondering what I’m wearing right! I didn’t forget about you in this post! Finding beautiful looks for vacation are generally hard to come by while on a budget, but Shein always delivers. I am wearing the Surplice Wrap Floral & Striped Dress and also the Asymmetrical Shoulder Ruffle Trim Polka Dot Top. So affordable, comfy, stylish, and both under $25.
