I’ve been rocking a mantra band for the last few months that quotes “fearless”. I promised myself that in 2018 I would embrace every part of my body, especially those that I have rejected for the last 15 years.
I rarely show my legs. It’s been 15 years since I have worn a dress above the knee. I truly forgot what it felt like to even own one.
But it’s a new season right! It’s all about growth, maturity, and owning the woman that I am today.
If you need an LYD (Little Yellow Dress) keep reading.
I don’t know if I shared with you all my hamstring injury. If not here is a quick update. I injured my hamstring in kickboxing. I knew something was wrong but I couldn’t figure it out.
When explaining it to my friends and family, they insisted I see a doctor. But I was afraid the doctor was just going to tell me to rest it. So I doctored on it myself until I couldn’t bear the pain any longer.
Long story short, I had to rest it, take meds, and now I’m pretty much all the way back.
This was my hardest shoot yet because I could barely walk. But it’s passion over pain and I had to keep pushing because I am dedicated to my passion.
No need to worry, I’m back and better than ever. Now let’s get into this dress honey chile!
When I received this dress from Dress Barn I was in love with the color alone. I do not own many yellow pieces, but it’s a summer hit.
It’s a really alluring color and the lace makes it that much more flirty. It’s a fit and flare which is my favorite style dress accentuating the waist and flowing down from there.
This dress is sunshine on a cloudy day. It fits so nice and the color matches the online picture perfectly. I received a ton of compliments.
To make this ray of sunshine stand out even more I added striking white accessories.
I’m loving yellow this summer and this dress was the start of the new romance. I’m rocking yellow all Summer 18 and you should join me.
Happy Monday the start of a new week. This week step outside of your comfort zone and push through the negativity (pain) and light up the world with your purpose (passion).
Don’t forget about the giveaway. I’m announcing a winner on Wednesday (click here for more details).
