A Year of Many Firsts 2016

Hello beautiful,  I hope that you had an amazing holiday and that you were able to enjoy the people that you love the most. I was surrounded by family and friends and blessed tremendously. I couldn’t have asked for anything better, however, I can not believe that we are days away from 2017. Can you believe it?

2016 has been a year of many firsts, a year of greatness, a year of challenges, and a year of creativity and fearlessness. I traveled to another country, launched my blog and Facebook fan page, attended my very first blogging event (and met some of my favorite fashion bloggers there), went to Zumba Convention for the first time in Orlando, and hosted my first “Fearless Influencers Women’s Conference”, but most importantly this has been the year of self-acceptance for me. I promised myself that I would simply love myself with no boundaries. I celebrated my strengths instead of being a collector of my shortcomings. I fell in love with Chasi and I feel incredible. 2016 has been one of the most significant years of my life and with the new year approaching, I’m tremendously grateful for everything and all of the memories and lessons learned in this special year of my life.

So you know that new year celebrations call for sparkles, shimmer, and sequins. I love sequins and being the girl that I am I can never have to much of it in my closet. If you know me and love me then you know that I am addicted to rose gold, so when I laid eyes on this metallic gold (kinda blush/rose gold) shimmer jumpsuit from Charlotte Russe it was love at first sight. This jumpsuit has adjustable straps that are detachable. I love everything about it, sweetheart neckline, pockets, tapered skinny legs, equals perfection.

 

I went very minimal with the accessories and let the shimmer jumpsuit be the highlight of my outfit. I paired rose gold geometric earrings from Swarvoski, simple black suede pumps, and a black blazer because of the cool weather.
