This weekend I made an impromptu trip to the “Empire City of the South” or what most would know as Atlanta, to check out the Life and Style Mixer celebrating Phat Girl Fresh turning 4 years old. If you have not heard of Phat Girl Fresh this brand, curated by the beautiful Maui Bigelow, stands behind empowering, educating, and encouraging women to love their plus size bodies while finding and using their own voice.
This event honored plus size trailblazers in the industry that are inspiring women. Chastity Garner of garnerstyle.com was one to recieve an award along with others.
The fashion show was amazing. Different brands came together to showcase plus size lingerie, boutiques, and swimwear. All I could say was curves and confidence, honey!! Curves and confidence. This event really pushed for plus size women to be fierce and live their best, right now. Style and grace has no size and this was showcased naturally.
It was also such a privilege to hang out with some of my favorite bloggers. It’s always so much fun to laugh, dance, and mingle with your favorite faces on social media. Networking and learning from the OG’s of fashion and beauty blogging never gets old, right.
Now it’s time for a major shout out to my husband for cutting his weekend short to drive me 4 hours. I could not get it together from the wreck I had Wednesday evening that has my nerves all discombobulated. Thanks babe for moving on such a short notice… I appreciate you, and also big hugs to my blogger boos Latoya and Ashley for saving me a front row seat at the fashion show. This was my I’m happy for a front row seat face!
I’m rocking the most amazing denim jumpsuit ever from Asos, especially for the price, and black Christian Siriano mules from Payless. Comfy and so my style. Remember to never let anyone box you in, always be true to your style no matter what. I had a blast and I’m so thankful for Maui and her vision to uplift and inspire plus size women. Waiting for next year like…
