I’m falling in love with Rachel Roy’s plus size line, but before we get into details of my look. Let’s talk about this natural hair making its debut to Sweat In Mascara.
It’s been a journey for me to embrace my natural hair. Is that wrong? I’m clueless when it comes to styling, products, and curl pattern stuff.
Like many black women my age, I grew up getting my hair relaxed on a regular basis. Every 3 months, It was a routine that you did not question. Plus, no one could slay a roller wrap like my Auntee Sherry.
I did the big chop back in 2012, but over the years I have managed to get back to the straight look. Yes, I’m natural but covering my hair with units and lace fronts is still not the way. I’m at square one again, and this time I have decided to give my natural hair a chance. So you will be seeing more of it!
Get excited ladies! It’s dress season. I live in activewear, but I’ve switched it up a bit. It is always fun dressing up. I’m loving everything modest, classy, and dainty. This dress is all three in a nutshell. Not to mention it’s the Magnolia Midi and Mississippi is the Magnolia state. I had to have it. Keep reading for details.
The Magnolia Midi by Rachel Roy demands your attention with a knee hemline, draped neckline, and pockets. Yes, I have this obsession for dresses with pockets. This dress has an hourglass silhouette so apple-shaped, triangle-shaped, or pear-shaped this dress will extend the waistline and balance your look from head to toe.
I wore this dress to the Influencer Brunch at Restuarant Idris, during Memphis Fashion Week. I got to hang out with some of my favorite influencers check out pics from below.
This dress was perfect for the occasion and as much as I dread managing my hair I loved the turnout. Graduation, baby shower, day parties, and especially anything in the Magnolia State. Step out in the Magnolia Midi and if you have an afro, let it out too!
