My struggle to self-love was indeed a long battle. While working out several hours a day, eating all the right things, and inspiring lots of women I still found myself battling daily with the inner me. Comparison was killing me. I always gave myself a hard time strolling down my Instagram feed comparing myself to women who had no idea I existed. It’s been a fight. I promised myself to get better and now I can talk about it.
Self-love is up to you. It’s something that no one can do for you. I was engulfed with love from my family who told me over and over how much they loved me, but I always needed reassurance, validation, and a reason why I was blessed with this much support.
This is why without self-love it is impossible to love unconditionally. The feeling of unworthiness will always run around in your mind and leave you feeling unworthy. Learning to love yourself is part of living a healthy lifestyle. I can’t sit here and front like it’s all about the gym, greens, and gallons of water cause that is not the case. The best gift that you can give yourself this Valentines Day is self-love. It is a journey but so rewarding.
Now let’s get into the athleisure high glam look that I pulled off thanks to Eloquii. Trousers that you can lounge in or slay in. The elastic waistband reminds me of my favorite jogging pants. I paired the trousers with the bodysuit for a little glamorousness. I’m the type who love to tuck my button downs in my skirts and pants, but I can’t stand trying to keep it down. A quick hack that helps is tucking it into my spanx. This simple hack helps it to stay polished and neat, but the easy route would be to grab this bodysuit. Check out Eloquii Bodysuits here.
I’m an athlete at heart and this look is a sum total of everything I am. Athlete who loves comfort, but part girly girl who loves everything pretty. I’m just a glam leisure type of girl!
This Valentines focus on self love and start with investing in yourself and learning to say “No”, sometimes. You deserve it!

Self Love is so important. I’m learning that loving myself is a must before I can truly say I love someone else.

I agree with you absolutely. I have begun the journey to self love and has been an interesting one. I even went as far a sending myself flowers . Which was a huge step for me ? I love how brave you are to address the insecurities we all face by comparing ourselves to those on our timelines.
