Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated 15 years of marriage. It’s been one incredible journey. This relationship has taught me more than any other relationship in my life.
One of them is being confident in my own skin and blessing the bae with a little sensuality. Being in the church, sensuality has always described as sinful. I know what you are thinking it is Chasi, ummm no ma’am! Being sexy is not a sin and we will discuss more if you keep reading…
Being Sexy Is Not A Sin + Sharing Intimacy With Your Husband
I recently ran across a post on the wifeyforlifeygroup on Instagram and it was so enlightening that it inspired me to write this blog post. The post was explaining how sensuality, sexuality, and seduction are key aspects of married life. I can almost here you thinking, “WHY”!!!
The creator of the Wifey For Lifey Group, Kimberlee Postell, explained that sensuality is the most safe and free way to share intimacy with a man that truly loves you. She also went into further detail about, how all of these things are meant for the man that has committed to you in holy matrimony, meaning that he is called husband.
Now, this all stood out to me because as a young wife I struggled with my confidence. So dressing sensual and showing my sexual side to my husband was something I rarely did. And then it hit me, these are all qualities of being a wife.
I don’t know when the disassociation happened for me with being sexy. But over the years, I had to learn to take time out of my busy schedule to bring intimacy back into my relationship. I started with 10-20 minutes of undisturbed quality time with my husband and dressing for the mini occasion. If dressing makes you a little uncomfortable then it’s time for you to work on your confidence as a wife.
But wait there’s more, I know it’s the husband’s responsibility to keep things spicy too but we are focused on us, right. So stay focused sis!!
