Nothing in this world keeps me laughing like a good natural hair meme. I’m telling you the struggle is so real when it comes to my natural hair journey. I have been natural for seven years and when I started this journey I was so excited. I was a major product junkie and I spent several hours watching YT videos on how to achieve the perfect twist out. I big chopped in 2010 around the same time I started my fitness journey and washing my hair was a breeze when it was approximately 2 inches long.
Push the clock forward a little bit and now it’s 2017 and those easy breezy wash days are a thing of the past and protective styles are how I get my whole life, lol. So now with all of that being said day two of my New Orleans getaway was everything I needed and more.
It was all about the “4th Annual New Orleans Natural Hair Expo” presented by “The Mane Choice”. 
The New Orleans Natural Hair Expo is one of the greatest hair experiences ever being that it is during the Essence Festival and the NONHE features workshops, product demonstrations, blogger panels, vendor suites, and so much more. The goal of NONHE is to offer a fun and sophisticated social environment that celebrates and promotes the natural hair community and culture.
I was inspired at the NONHE and I ran into so many of the brands i love, YT favorites, and mingled with new bloggers.
I received a lot of goodies that I can not wait to try on my hair.
I had an amazing time celebrating curls and meeting new curl friends.
