Leaving My Tummy Insecurity In 2018

Drake said, “You gotta hit them angles”!!! And all 2018 phones been up in the air popping selfies. The race to the most flattering photo on Instagram is one that never ends, but I’m here today to show you how I’m leaving my tummy insecurities in 2018! Thankfully, I’m learning that you can be yummy with a tummy!

Good or bad angles do not change your value! I wanted to share pictures of my body sitting down so that women can realize that you should never be ashamed of your stomach rolls. This body of mine is strong, standing or seated! I’m proud of it.

We’ve been hiding our tummies since the beginning of time. This year I challenge you to kick your tummy insecurities right with me. Love your angles equally! Don’t get me wrong nothing is wrong with playing up your favorite assets, but when your tummy makes a debut don’t delete the photo! Nothing is wrong with having spanx, panty girdles, and waist trainers, but what do you do when your tummy peek through all that “criticize yourself”!! It’s crazy how society has indeed brainwashed the way we view our bodies! Let’s drop the insecurites!

Since losing over 100 lbs and giving birth, my tummy has not been the same. And I’m ok with my muffin top, it has not shifted the way I do fashion! Big, small, slim, trim nothing has changed I am confident, fit, and will continuously slay any size.  

I’m wearing the Plus V Neck Iridescent Sequin dress from Shein. It’s hot, modest, and screams “I’m here 2019”. Can you believe how smoking hot this look is without an ounce of skin showing! You can bring it, without all the goodies hanging out!! Plus it’s cold! Ain’t nobody trying to bring in the New Year sick! (In my southern drawl)!! 

If you guys have not checked out Shein sequin dresses you are seriously out of the loop. Don’t misunderstand that sequin is for any time of the year, not just New Years. A sequin dress can glamorize a date night and level up a party look all year long. 

Plus size sizing can be a little tricky with Shein, so I advise you to pull out the tape measure for accuracy. I’m wearing a 3x, but this dress runs small! So size up!

Shein is a brand that understands the needs of trendy at a low cost! This leopard print pencil skirt is also from Shein, and the top is too! I love the fishtail flare at the bottom and the fact that it is velvet!!!

Both looks showcase a little tummy, and that’s ok! I’m realizing what I use to think was a flaw is not bad or imperfect! It’s normal and most importantly it’s me!

So long to my tummy insecurities and trying to nail the perfect flattering pose on my pictures! In order to live my best life, I’ve got to live and me in seated positions is part of me living!
